A certain drink has been pulled from LCBO shelves in Ontario, officials say.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said in a notice Wednesday that Ernest Cider brand Sangria Cider is being recalled.

It’s 437 ml in size, has the UPC number 0 51497 49945 1 and the following codes are impacted: ESC-26-238 10/02/27; ESC-26-238 11/02/27.

The CFIA said it’s being recalled “due to yeast.” The notice said it’s a microbial contamination issue that’s non-harmful and related to quality or spoilage.

“LCBO has worked with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency over the last several weeks regarding issues with Ernest Sangria Cider and we are aware of their recall of that product,” the LCBO told INsauga.com in a statement.

“Since May 22, all inventory of this product had been pulled from LCBO retail stores and the shelves of those grocery and convenience stores stocking this product. This step was taken as part of LCBO’s rigorous quality assurance testing, which prioritizes the health and safety of Ontarians.”

Consumers were advised to not use, sell, or distribute the affected product.
