Several storefronts throughout the GTA have had a selection of counterfeit products seized by health authorities.
According to a public health advisory from Health Canada, fake sexual enhancement pills posing as Viagra and Cialis have been pulled from shelves.
The impacted locations include several storefronts in Toronto, Pickering, and Brantford.

Representatives behind both brands sent correspondence to health officials stating that the retrieved materials were fake and not an official product.

The seized products, according to Health Canada, contain sildenafil and tadalafil, two sexual enhancement compounds that have adverse effects if consumed in a non-regulated manner, including cardiovascular complications and heart attack.
Additional side effects from the consumption of these products include headache and dizziness.

Health Canada has advised anyone who has purchased any of the listed products to dispose of them immediately and, if any adverse health effects are felt, to take immediate action.
