A food product has been recalled in Canada because of the presence of bugs.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said in a notice that Mitchell’s Soup Co. brand Curried Chickpea Stew Mix is the affected product.

It’s being recalled “due to presence of insects,” the notice said.

It’s 374 g in size, has the UPC number 8 37967 00007 7 and the following codes: LOT# 072512519; Best Before: 2026 SE 15.

It was distributed nationally.

“Do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product,” the CFIA said.

Meanwhile, last month, certain herbs were also pulled from shelves in Canada because of the presence of insects.
