RECALL: Asian snack food recalled in Ontario

A snack distributed in Ontario has been recalled due to incorrect labelling.

Soybean Snacks from Wu Xian Zhai brand have been recalled due to undeclared wheat and/or egg, according to the notice posted on Health Canada.

The snacks were distributed in Ontario, Quebec and online.

The recall includes Soybean Snacks Spicy Chicken Flavour with the UPC 6 924878 910022, Soybean Snacks Barbecue Flavour with code 6 924878 910015, and Soybean Snacks Soy Sauce Flavour with code 6 924878 900955.

People with celiac disease or other gluten-related disorders should not consume the recalled product, as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.

The recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.

There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products.
