More than 15,000 vehicles have been recalled in Canada because of a possible problem with some of their seats.
“On certain vehicles, the pivot bolts in the height adjuster assembly for the front seats may not have been manufactured properly,” Transport Canada said in a notice.
“As a result, the bolt(s) could loosen and detach. If this happens, the seat(s) could move in a crash…. A seat that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury.”
The recall is from Ford and the following models / model years are impacted:
- Bronco — 2024, 2025, 2026
- Ranger — 2024, 2025, 2026
There are 15,127 vehicles in Canada that are affected by the recall.
Ford will notify owners by mail and they will be advised to take their vehicle to a dealership for an inspection.
If needed, the height-adjust link(s) and pivot bolts will be replaced.
