More than 118,000 vehicles are affected by a major recall in Canada, officials say.
Transport Canada said in a notice that there could be an issue with their tire repair kits.
“On certain vehicles, if the tire repair kit nozzle is not properly attached to the tire valve, pressure could build up in the sealant bottle. As a result, excessive pressure could cause the bottle cap to detach,” officials said.
“If the bottle cap detaches, it could increase the risk of injury.”
The recall is from Honda and involves the following models / model years:
- ACCORD HYBRID — 2023 2024 2025 2026
- CR-V HYBRID — 2023 2024 2025 2026
Overall, there are 118,574 vehicles affected in Canada, the notice said.
Honda will notify owners about the issue by mail.
They will be advised to take their vehicle to a dealership to have the nozzle on the tire repair kit replaced.
If the sealant bottle was previously used, it will be replaced.
