Rain for the early part of the week in Mississauga and Brampton

Mississauga and Brampton residents may experience some wet weather early this week as the possibility for high winds and thunderstorms in the region increases.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says thunderstorms are expected to be fairly isolated in nature in the afternoon on Monday (July 11) with more developing in the evening.

Some thunderstorms during the evening hours have the potential to be accompanied by strong wind gusts and sudden heavy rain. The possibility for these thunderstorms will continue into early Tuesday.

The showers come with a high of 29 degrees Celsius, the humidex making it feel like 34.

Mississauga weekly forecast

On Tuesday (July 12), a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers and high of 28.

Thunderstorms with strong wind gusts and heavy rain may continue before moving east of the area. Isolated thunderstorms may also continue in the afternoon and evening.

Wednesday dips down to a high of 21 with the chance of showers continuing.

Thursday and Friday bring some clear and sunny skies before Saturday returns with showers.
