Raids lead to arrest and charges against accused drug trafficker from Brampton

Multiple raids led officers to stashes of suspected cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine and charges for a man from Brampton, police say.

The charges are part of a drug trafficking case launched by officers from the OPP Caledon detachment earlier in the year – an investigation that led police to serve search warrants in both Brampton and Caledon last week.

Police say that officers raided residences and vehicles on Thursday where undisclosed quantities of drugs believed to be cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine were found.

Identity documents, credit cards and currency were also recovered during the searches, and a 33-year-old suspect from Brampton was arrested and charged with multiple offences, police say.

The OPP says Teddy Fordjour, 33, of Brampton, has been charged with:

  • Two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine.
  • possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine.
  • possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid.
  • possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
  • failure to comply with release order.
  • possession of a credit card.
  • possession of an identity document.
  • fail to comply with probation order.
  • traffic in schedule I substance – cocaine.

The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville.
