Quebec men charged in 3 Dodge Ram truck thefts in Clarington, Toronto and Oshawa

Dodge Ram trucks were the popular choice for a rash of thefts in Oshawa, Toronto and Clarington.

Three Quebec men face charges in three stolen vehicle incidents in Durham Region, Durham Regional Police said in a press release.

All three vehicles involved were Dodge Ram trucks.

Truck stolen in Oshawa

In the first incident, a 2022 Dodge Ram truck was reported stolen form a driveway at Stevenson Road South and Phillip Murray Avenue in Oshawa at 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 20.

Police found the truck a short distance away and had the driver safely come to a stop.

Hachem Elfilale, 21, of Quebec, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime and possession of an automobile master key.

Truck stolen in Clarington

In a second incident on Oct. 20 around 5 a.m., another Dodge Ram truck (this one was a 2021) was reported stolen out of a driveway at Longworth Avenue and Liberty Street North in Clarington.

Once again, police found the truck a short distance away, stopped it and took the driver into custody.

Romenskee Colas, 20, of Quebec, is charged with theft of a motor vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime.

Truck stolen in Toronto

Finally, on Oct. 20, at approximately 12 p.m.,  a 2021 Dodge Ram truck, that was reported stolen earlier that day in Toronto, was spotted on Hwy 407 and Enfield Road in Clarington.

Police stopped the driver and took him into custody.

Alehandro Nicolas Boucher, 19 of Quebec, is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of an automobile master key and possession of property obtained by crime.

All three trucks were returned to their owners. Police didn’t say if the crimes were connected.
