QEW reopens through Burlington after fiery crash

The QEW across the Burlington Skyway is now fully open following a lengthy investigation and clean-up of Toronto-bound lanes following an eight-vehicle collision
The fiery crash, which happened during yesterday’s (March 23) evening rush hour, sent three people to hospital, with one person in serious condition.
Police and emergency crews closed off the area for several hours which snarled traffic along most other major routes around the bridge in both Hamilton and Burlington for several hours.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the crash but indicate three of the eight vehicles involved were in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene.
