A QEW pedestrian bridge project in Mississauga has been delayed nearly one year.

The Ogden Avenue pedestrian bridge was removed in March and originally slated to be replaced this past summer.

The bridge spans the QEW, from Ogden Road to Insley Road.

The project is one of many improvements to the QEW from east of Cawthra Road to west of Etobicoke Creek planned over the next four years.

A bridge truss (frame) has arrived and is now on the edge of the Applewood Village Plaza parking lot, at 1077 North Service Rd.

But the project won’t be complete until the summer of 2024, according to the Ministry of Transportation.

The larger QEW project started in May 2022, and is expected to wrap up in July 2026.
