QEW closed in both directions in Burlington after fatal crash

Motorists should expect significant delays on a portion of the QEW in Burlington Tuesday morning (Jan 26) as emergency crews respond to a fatal collision.
Ontario Provincial Police have closed the QEW in both directions between Brant Street and Guelph Line due to a serious multi-vehicle crash.
Police say two females have died and three people have been sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries as Burlington paramedics are on scene.
Four cars have been involved and the QEW will be closed for about 6 to 8 hours.
The investigation is ongoing.
UPDATE 9:00 a.m.: Three parties have been transported to local hospitals, all with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
UPDATE 10:00 a.m.: Closure on the QEW westbound at Brant St. is estimated to open by 1:00 p.m. Eastbound is estimated to be open at 5:00 p.m.
