Public’s help required in locating man in connection with Brampton homicide

Peel Region Police are asking for the public’s health in locating a man wanted in connection with a homicide in Brampton on Wednesday (May 1).

Police responded Wednesday to reports of an altercation between two adult males at an apartment complex near Bovaird Drive and Creditview Road.

“During the incident, the victim was fatally stabbed,” said Peel police. “The culprit fled the scene.

“The victim and culprit are known to each other, and this was not a random act.”

The man they are looking for has been identified at 49-year-old Andrew Galea, of no fixed address. Galea is wanted for second degree murder.

Members of the public should consider Galea armed if they spot him and are being reminded to dial 911 immediately and not approach him.
