Province reports 9,826 new COVID-19 cases, 168 people in ICU

The province is reporting 9,826 new COVID-19 cases today, Dec. 26 (down 586 from yesterday).

373 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, and 168 people are in ICU, according to Health Minister Christine Elliott.

26,449,368 vaccine doses have been administered in Ontario to date, including over 106,000 doses  administered on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

90.7% of Ontarians 12+ have received one dose while 88.0% have two doses.

On Christmas Day the province reported 10,412 new cases — the first time Ontario recorded more than 10,000 new daily cases of COVID-19.
