Province reports 640 new COVID-19 cases, 178 people in ICU

The province is reporting 640 new COVID-19 cases today, Sept. 25 (down 87 from yesterday) and 10 more deaths, with the seven-day average falling to 629.

There are 113 new cases in Toronto, 69 in Peel (Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon), 58 in York, 46 in Hamilton, 38 in Durham, 28 in Niagara, and 20 in Halton.

Of today’s 640 cases, it’s reported that 485 cases are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status, and 155 are in fully vaccinated individuals.

There are 178 people in the ICU with COVID-19, of which 171 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and seven are fully vaccinated.

21,614,205 vaccine doses have been administered in Ontario to date, with 85.7% of Ontarians 12+ having one dose and nearly 80.1% having two doses.
