Ontario reporting almost a thousand new COVID-19 cases, 118 in Mississauga and Brampton

The province is reporting 944 new COVID-19 cases today, September 4 (up 137 from yesterday) and nine deaths (up three from yesterday).

There are 118 cases in Peel (Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon), 92 in Hamilton, 35 in Niagara, 28 in Durham and 28 in Halton.

309 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, of which 277 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status, and 32 are fully vaccinated. 172 people are currently in ICU, of which 160 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status, and 12 are fully vaccinated.

Of today’s cases, 736 are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status, and 208 are in fully vaccinated individuals.

To date, 20,917,550 vaccine doses have been administered in Ontario. Nearly 83.5% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 76.9% have two doses.
