Province reporting 821 new COVID-19 cases, 185 people in ICU

The province is reporting 821 new COVID-19 cases today, Sept. 18 (up 26 from yesterday) and 10 more deaths, with the seven-day average lowering to 719.
There are 152 new cases in Toronto, 114 in Peel (Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon), 80 in York, 47 in Durham, 25 in Hamilton, 22 in Niagara, and 19 in Halton.
185 people are in ICU due to, of which 174 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status, and 11 are fully vaccinated, the province reports.
Of today’s 821 cases, it’s reported that 621 are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status, and 200 are in fully vaccinated individuals.
To date, 21,357,675 vaccine doses have been administered in Ontario, with nearly 85.0% of Ontarians 12+ having one dose and nearly 78.9% having two doses.
Beginning this week on Wednesday, September 22, the province will begin mandating proof of vaccination to access certain businesses and establishments.
