Province reporting 653 new COVID-19 cases, 55 in Mississauga and Brampton

The province is reporting 653 new COVID-19 cases today, Sept. 26 (up 13 from yesterday) and six more deaths, with the seven-day average falling to 621.

There are 66 new cases in Hamilton, 55 in Peel (Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon), 42 in Halton, 28 in Durham, and 22 in Niagara region.

Of today’s cases, 499 are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status, and 154 are in fully vaccinated individuals.

198 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, with 177 people in the ICU.

21,651,850 vaccine doses have been administered in Ontario to date, with 85.8% of Ontarians 12+ having one dose and 80.2% having two doses.
