Province reporting 511 new COVID-19 cases, 116 people in ICU

The province is reporting 511 new COVID-19 cases today, August 15 (down 67 from yesterday) and no new deaths (down two from yesterday).

There are 69 new cases in Peel (Mississauga, Brampton and Ontario), 48 in Hamilton, 24 in Halton, 20 in Niagara, and 17 in Durham.

According to Health Minister Christine Elliott, 98 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 and a further 116 people are in ICU.

Of today’s cases, it’s reported that 350 are in unvaccinated individuals and 67 in partially vaccinated individuals.

270 more cases are considered resolved since yesterday.

20,187,843 vaccine doses have been administered in Ontario to date. 81.5% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 73.3% have two doses.
