Province reporting 502 new COVID-19 cases, 15 deaths

Provincial case numbers are on a steady decline, with the province reporting 502 new COVID-19 cases today, June 12 (down 72 from yesterday) but 15 new deaths (up 11 from yesterday).
There are 89 new cases in Toronto, 71 in Peel, 51 in Waterloo, 37 in York Region, and 31 in Durham.
Since yesterday, 830 more cases are considered resolved and nearly 24,100 more tests completed.
According to Health Minister Christine Elliott, 11,022,452 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ontario to date.
The province entered the first phase of its reopening on Friday, June 11, allowing for larger social gatherings and for patios to reopen among other changes.
“Please continue to do your part by getting vaccinated and continuing to follow public health advice,” said Elliott.
