Ontario reporting 12 fewer people in hospital due to COVID-19, but five more in ICU

The Province is reporting 283 people in hospital with COVID-19, a decrease of 12 from the day before.

Additionally, as of Wednesday (August 25), 161 people are currently in the ICU due to complications associated with the virus, which is an increase of five from the previous day.

Of those who are in hospital,135 are unvaccinated, while 11 have received one dose, and 30 have received both doses.

Additionally, of those in the ICU, 78 are unvaccinated, while nine have received one dose, and seven have received both doses.

The Province is reporting an additional 40,254 vaccinations as of Wednesday. To date, 73 per cent of Ontarians have received one dose, including 84 per cent of adults, and 77 per cent of adults have received both doses.
