Province reporting 1,057 new COVID-19 cases, 15 deaths

The province is reporting 1,057 new COVID-19 cases today, May 29 (down 216 from yesterday) and 15 deaths (up one  from yesterday).

There are 228 new cases in Toronto, 178 in Peel, 82 in York Region, 71 in Hamilton, and 37 in Halton.

Since yesterday, 2,057 more cases are considered resolved and nearly 33,600 more tests completed.

8,839,445 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ontario.

The province recently announced its plan to more quickly get residents fully vaccinated. Those who are scheduled to get a first dose May 31 or after can book their second dose for 28 days later, based on eligible age group and vaccine availability.
