Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton is not immune to the new provincial guidelines requiring proof of full vaccination.

Beginning with Forge FC’s home match on Sept. 25 against Pacific FC, all patrons (fans, staff, media…) who are 12 and older will be required to show proof of full vaccination and photo identification to gain entry.

Proof of a negative COVID-19 test will no longer be accepted for admittance to ticketed events.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ first game under the new guidelines is Oct. 2 against the Montreal Alouettes.

“The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC continue to prioritize the health and safety of everyone attending Tim Hortons Field for events during the 2021 season,” according to an official statement from Forge FC and Hamilton Tiger-Cats ownership.

“As we continue to operate in a fluid environment, we will keep everyone updated on any changes to this policy moving forward. We collectively thank everyone for their patience, understanding and cooperation as we all continue to navigate through these difficult times together.”

Staff at Tim Hortons Field did a commendable job at the Labour Day Classic earlier this month. Under the previous guidelines,  staff checked the proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test of more than 15,000 individuals.
