Products with undeclared milk recalled in Mississauga, Brampton and area

Mississauga and Brampton residents with a milk allergy should double check their home as Health Canada recalls these two food products with undeclared milk in them.

When the company fails to claim milk contents on the product label, it poses harm to individuals with a milk allergy. They could consume milk products without their knowledge.


T.A.S. brand Coconut Water

Risk: T.A.S. brand coconut water is recalled due to the presence of undeclared milk in the product. The coconut water has been sold in multiple provinces including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is removing this product from the marketplace after it failed to meet sufficient test results.

What you should do: Check to see if there are recalled products in the home. Do not consume this coconut water if you have milk sensitivities. Do not serve, use, sell or distribute recalled products and ensure they are thrown out in the garbage.


Crave Stevia brand Dark All-Natural Chocolate

Risk: Crave Stevia brand dark all-natural chocolate is also recalled due to undeclared milk in the product. This recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency test results. The chocolate has been confirmed to have sold in British Columbia and Ontario and may have been distributed to other provinces.

What you should do: Remove all recalled products from the home. Ensure you are not consuming the recalled product if you have a milk sensitivity. Put the chocolate in the garbage or return it to the location where it was purchased.
