With Pride Month kicking off today across Durham Region the celebration of Pride and inclusivity for everyone returns for the second year to Port Perry on June 10.

The townships of Scugog, Uxbridge, and Brock will be coming together to celebrate PRIDE in Port Perry at Palmer Park. This free event will feature fun family activities, live drag performances and music and a march down Queen Street, a first for the festival.

This year’s event promises to be even bigger than last year and promises to be one of the highlights of the summer season.

Those who are looking to escape the big city for the day are encouraged to bring your favourite snacks and a cozy blanket for a family-friendly gathering that aims to bring the community together for an afternoon of laughter, love and fun, with plenty of activities, music, face painting and more.

North Durham Pride’s PRIDE in Port Perry will take place in Palmer Park between 9 a.m. and midnight on Saturday, June 10. The Pride March down Queen Street will go from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by Pride in the Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. The Small Town Pride Barn Party will cap the day from 6 p.m. to midnight.
