An event in celebration of the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Halton and the surrounding area will be returning soon to the Town of Milton.

On Saturday, June 11, Conservation Halton will be hosting “Pride in Nature,” at Area 8, formerly known as the Kelso Quarry.

The nature-based event will feature food, drinks, activities, art, music, entertainment and an opportunity to plant native species in the park.

All are welcome to attend, including members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, friends, families and allies. Attendees are also welcome to bring their dogs.

The event will feature photographer, designer, community organizer and self-proclaimed “retired poet,” Mona Mousa as the guest MC.

Additionally, the event will feature drag queens, a family dance party, a nature talk, family story time with the Milton Public Library and more.

The cost to attend the event is $5 per person plus gate fees for non-members.

Ticket proceeds will be donated to the Positive Space Network in support of 2SLGBTQ+ Youth in Halton.
