Due to the strong winds, many residents are without power today in Mississauga.
Alectra Utilities reported around 5:00 p.m. that the inclement weather is causing power outages affecting at least 6200 residents throughout the city.
There is no estimated time for when power will return.
As the outages are additionally affecting public facilities, the City has announced that the following locations are closed today:
- Malton and Lakeview libraries
- Hershey Centre and Hershey Community Rinks
- Mississauga Sportzone
- Cawthra Pool and Glen Forest Pool
We’ll update with any further information regarding outages in Mississauga.
