Crews are working to restore power after an outage has left more than 2,700 homes and businesses in the dark near the City Centre area of Mississauga.
The city’s utility company, Alectra, posted notice of the outage to Twitter just after 10:30 a.m. this morning, saying some 2,736 homes and businesses in the Burnhamthorpe Rd. W. and Confederation Pkwy. area are without power.
A look at the outage map (see below) shows the area affected is actually much larger. Customers as far south as approaching The Queensway and as far west as Erindale Station Rd. are impacted.
Crews have been dispatched and Alectra says power is expected to be restored by 1 p.m.
