Power outage in Hamilton plunges 400 homes into the dark

Mississauga power outage leaves nearly 4,000 homes, businesses in the dark

A power outage in Hamilton has plunged more than 400 homes into the dark December cold tonight.

Power has been cut to 402 houses in the city’s Greenford neighbourhood in Stoney Creek from Nash Rd. to Centennial Pkwy. The outage also extends south from Queenston Rd. to King St.

Alectra Energy is currently investigating the cause of the outage. They have dispatched repair teams to get the lights back on. The hydro provider estimates repairs will take until 11:30 p.m.
