Around 7 p.m. this evening, all power was restored in Mississauga, according to a tweet by Alectra Utilities.

The power outage that was initially impacting 4,260 homes and businesses in east Mississauga, has now been brought down to 1,400, according to a recent tweet by Alectra Utilities today (Sept. 28).

Officials with the utility said via social media that people can expect power to return to the 1,400 homes and businesses by 7 p.m. today.

Alectra said work crews are on site attempting to resolve the issue.

According to the company’s power outage map, areas affected are primarily in the Rockwood Village area of east Mississauga in addition to parts of Etobicoke near Centennial Park.

The area impacted is near Burnhamthorpe Road East and Flagship Drive, where the road was closed earlier this afternoon to deal with an “unstable hydro pole,” Peel Regional Police said earlier.
