Power outage impacting over 7395 homes and businesses in Brampton

A power outage is affecting thousands of Brampton residents today (May 4.)

Around 3:50 p.m., the utilities company Alectra, reported that approximately 7395 homes and businesses were experiencing a power outage.

The area greatly impacted by the outage is along Highway 410, from McVean Drive and Mayfield Road to Sandalwood Parkway.

The cause of the outage is unknown at this time.

The utilities company reported that crew have been dispatched to fix the issue and power is estimated to be fully restored between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
