Power outage impacting over 3000 homes and businesses in Mississauga

UPDATE: Alectra has confirmed that all power has been restored in Mississauga.


There is a power outage affecting hundreds of Mississauga residents today (June 30.)

Around 11:50 a.m., the utilities company Alectra, reported that approximately 655 homes and businesses were experiencing a power outage.

A map provided by Alectra highlights some of the areas in Mississauga that are currently without power.  These include:

  • Burnhamthorpe Road West
  • Wolfedale Road
  • Central Parkway Road
  • Erindale Station Road
  • Creditview Road
  • Shadeland Drive
  • Chada Avenue
  • Ellengate Drive
  • Woodland Park
  • Shamir Crescent
  • McBride Avenue
  • Oakglade Crescent
  • Grechen Road
  • Freeport Drive
  • Carillion Avenue

The cause of the outage is unknown at this time.

The utilities company reported that crew have been dispatched to fix the issue and power is estimated to be fully restored around 3 p.m.
