Power outage affects hundreds of Mississauga homes and businesses

A power outage is affecting nearly 300 homes and businesses in east Mississauga this morning (June 24).

Alectra, the utility that supplies the city’s power, tweeted that 295 homes and businesses in the area of Dixie Rd. lost power early this morning.

Crews have been sent to the scene of the issue and power is expected to be restored by 12 noon, officials say.

Alectra didn’t say what specific area around Dixie Rd. was affected, nor was the company’s online power outage map updated to show the specific location of the outage.

Update: Alectra reported that all power has been restored as of about 12 noon today.
