Power out in pockets of Burlington

Burlington Hydro is dealing with power outages in small pockets of a neighbourhood this morning (July 10).

The area affected is north of Plains Road East between Maplehurst Avenue and Gallagher Road.

“We are aware of an outage in the Aldershot neighbourhood,” writes Burlington Hydro on X (formerly Twitter). “The outage has been caused by a fallen tree.”

Approximately 80 customers are affected and crews are on the scene looking to restore power.

The estimated time of restoration is 1 p.m.

Wind and rain have caused downed trees and branches across the GTA this morning but no further instances of power disruptions have been reported in Burlington.
