Power knocked out at several homes in Burlington neighbourhood

Burlington Hydro is at the scene investigating a power outage in a neighbourhood in the southeast part of the city.

The community affected is called Elizabeth Gardens near Kenwood Ave. and Bromley Rd.

According to the Burlington Hydro outage map, 66 customers are currently affected.

The cause has not been determined but weather conditions may have played a role.

The power company expects that service should be restored just after 6 p.m. tonight.

Meanwhile, in another area of the city, a squirrel has been blamed for the loss of power at one home.

Burlington Hydro says in this case the home affected is on North Service Rd. near Burloak Dr. No word on the condition of the squirrel.
