Incident at Clarkson GO station in Mississauga.

Multiple fire trucks and at least one ambulance are at Clarkson GO station in Mississauga’s south end after reports of an apparent “chemical smell” late this afternoon.

Reports from the scene near Southdown Road and Lakeshore Road indicate there were a half dozen or so Mississauga fire trucks on hand, in addition to an ambulance, shortly after 3:30 p.m.

A Peel Regional Police spokesperson told insauga.com they have very little information at the moment, but are monitoring the situation.

The police spokesperson described the ongoing call as being in response to “a potential chemical smell.”

Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services’ hazardous materials crew members are at the scene as well.

Police say there are no reports of any injuries or closures, to either Clarkson GO station or nearby roads, as of shortly after 4 p.m.
