Portion of Burlington Street in north Hamilton to close next week for a month

A portion of Burlington Street in north Hamilton will close next week for four weeks as City of Hamilton crews work to make some repairs along the roadway.

The eastbound lanes of the overpass on Burlington Street between Gage Avenue N and Sherman will be closed starting Monday (Oct. 4) as the bridge undergoes rehabilitation work.

The work is expected to wrap up on or before November 1, 2021, weather permitting.

“Westbound traffic will not be impacted by this work,” a City press release said. “HSR will not be impacted by this closure.”

Motorists will still be able to travel eastbound around the overpass closure by staying on the surface roadway on Burlington Street E.
