An American sports bar franchise popular among Canadians is gone for good.

Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant has closed down all of its remaining locations in Ontario, marking the end of its run in the Canadian market.

The restaurant was known for offering Buffalo-style chicken wings in a variety of sauces like Parmesan Garlic, Honey BBQ, Nashville Hot, and Mango Habanero.

During the months of April and May the chicken wing chain began to shut down various locations in Oakville, London, Hamilton-Stoney Creek, Ajax and Vaughan.

The winding down of the restaurants came to many as a surprise, as it was done discretely with very little to no notice from the company.

In June the wing chain closed two more storefronts, one in Oshawa and another in Barrie—leaving only three locations open: Hamilton-Ancaster, Mississauga and Windsor.

It wasn’t long until it was the end of the road for the final three.

As of today (July. 1) the last three Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants in Ontario have permanently closed.
The company has not stated exactly why they made the decision to pull out of the Canadian market.
If you’re a long-time fan who hasn’t missed their weekly wing specials— you will have to cross the border to satisfy your cravings.
The franchise currently has 1,200 locations across the U.S.
