According to digital food and lifestyle aficionados YourCityWithIN, those living in the Brampton region may be in for a bit of a surprise this weekend, as the cherished Vietnamese restaurant Pho Peter is reopening its doors after a two-year wait.

Initial rumors of the reopening appeared online earlier this week when Brampton Reddit users posted photos of the newly renovated Pho Peter location.

The restaurant suffered an abrupt closure two years ago after a fire claimed much of the building it was located in. Since then, those in the Peel Region have wondered when, and if, this cherished community secret would reopen its doors.

Insauga.com reached out to Pho Peter and confirmed that the official reopening took place today (April 19), however, due to a handful of technical issues, Pho Peter is only taking cash payments at this time until they can get their point-of-sale services up and running.

Pho Peter is known to have some of Brampton’s best Vietnamese noodle soup (Pho) as well as an assortment of regional and vegetarian cuisine. So, whether you are a veteran of Pho Peter or are just finding out about this community pillar with its reopening, there has never been a better time to get some takeout this weekend — just make sure you have some cash on hand.
