A popular chicken wing spot is opening a new location in Mississauga.

Wingstop, known for its sauced and tossed wings along with a variety of comfort foods, is set to debut its first Mississauga location within Heartland Town Centre at 6045 Mavis Rd.

The restaurant features a diverse array of flavours, from the sweetness of its Hawaiian wings to the tanginess of its buffalo wings.

If you’re craving a subtle hint of heat, some popular options include the hickory smoked BBQ, spicy Korean Q, and the limited-time-only maple sriracha.

For the adventurous souls seeking an extra kick, there’s the ‘atomic’ option. According to the restaurant’s heat scale, it stands as the spiciest flavour, delivering a habanero pepper punch that promises to bring tears to your eyes.

The most ordered wings is the original recipe. It’s a cayenne pepper blend with a spicy vinegar base.

Customers can also choose between the classic wings or opt for the boneless variety.

Just like its wings, the restaurant offers a variety of fries. Some options include the cheese fries, buffalo ranch fries and the loaded voodoo fries, which is fresh cut potatoes served with cheese sauce, ranch, and signature Cajun seasoning.

Corn on the cob is also on the menu with various seasonings available.

Founded in 1994 in Garland, Texas, the U.S.-based restaurant chain has expanded globally, boasting over 1900 locations worldwide – with established Ontario locations including Ajax and an upcoming opening in Whitby on Dec. 15.

Mississauga residents and eager food enthusiasts anticipating the grand opening will need a bit more patience, as the restaurant’s official opening date is now scheduled for January 15, 2024.
