A popular TV personality will be heading to an antique market in Mississauga next month.

Ted Finch from The HISTORY Channel’s Salvage Kings, will be at the Sunday Antique Market, located at the Small Arms Inspection Building on Mar. 5 to host a silent auction contest.

The contest will offer attendees the chance to win an antique item sourced by Finch himself on Salvage Kings by guessing the correct estimated Canadian retail price.

The Sunday Antique Market is known for featuring items from Victorian to mid-century modern, vintage jewellery, antiquarian books and other eclectic pieces, including rare antiques and sought-after vintage items.

Finch will be at the HISTORY Channel booth at the market from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the first 50 guests will receive a special gift.

The third season of Salvage Kings, which will begin on Mar. 1, follows Finch, who was born and raised in Mississauga.

On the show, the salvage expert ventures out on his own to find rare and historic items with the goal to “save valuable treasures from buildings before they are demolished” and then getting them appraised and restored back at his shop before finding the perfect buyers.

Finch’s extensive knowledge of history has made him a recognized global leader in his field and has been dubbed a modern-day treasure hunter as a result.
