If you’re looking to spice up your palette with cuisine that will leave you reaching for that cup of water in between bites—food lovers will be excited to know a popular Indian restaurant is opening soon in Mississauga.

The duo restaurant —My Roti Place and My Dosa Place is bringing the heat to Square One’s Food District with several street favourites including butter chicken poutine, samosa chaat (potato puffs topped with mint, tamarind and yogourt) and signature cauliflower bites.

However, the highlight of the experience is the guests have the option of creating their own roti masterpiece by using the flatbread as their base and selecting a protein before topping it off with any of the inhouse curry sauces.

For the meat options the restaurant offers chicken, fish, lamb, and shrimp and for the vegetarians there is a choice from panner (cheese curds), cheese balls, and tofu.

Another dish available is the biriyani  —a fragrant flavourful indian rice casserole slow cooked with mint, caramelized onions, saffron, whole spices and ghee (clarified butter).

There are different varieties of biriyani to choose from including chicken, goat, and mixed vegetable. The order also comes with a boiled egg, raita (sour milk), gulab jamun (sweets) and papad (fried potato wafer.)

If you’re looking to try authentic indian food from My Roti Place and My Dosa Place, at Square One, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer as the announcement was recently made, with no information on an official grand-opening.
