One of Toronto’s favourite spots for Iraqi cuisine is finally opening a new location in Mississauga.

Sumaq Iraqi Charcoal Grill serves up authentic dishes like veal and lamb shawarma and kebabs over flaming hot Charcoal. The popular takeout joint in Scarborough is a favourite among foodies and will be opening a new location in Mississauga later this week.

“Join us on our Grand Opening day as we get ready to transport you straight to the bustling streets of Iraq,” Sumaq Iraqi Charcoal Grill said of the new spot opening in Mississauga on June 8.

Unlike some shawarma joints, Sumaq uses veal and lamb for its creations and the charcoal grill gives dishes an intense, authentic flavour.

The restaurant has wraps and combos available as well as shawarma and kebab platters, falafel, and Arabi Shawarmas –  small, traditional two-bite wraps that are toasted with minimal toppings. There are also skewers and 1-pound party platters, so Sumaq Iraqi Charcoal Grill can satisfy you no matter the size of your appetite.

Sumaq Iraqi Charcoal Grill is holding its grand opening celebration on June 8 at the new location at 3920 Eglinton Ave. in Mississauga.
