Popular Toronto coffee shop opens on Mississauga border

A trendy high-end coffee roaster has opened a new shop near Mississauga.

Dark Horse Espresso Bar, which had its humble beginnings in the heart of downtown Toronto, has just opened up a new spot in the CF Sherway Gardens shopping centre.

Their coffee has earned them national renown, as the 20 Grand and Northern Dancer roasts have frequently been found in many a GTA coffee mug and kitchen cupboard for years — both of which are named for storied Canadian racehorses.

Now, looking to expand their cozy atmosphere and quality local coffees, the new CF Sherway Gardens marks Dark Horse’s 18th location in all of Ontario, with two more already slated for Toronto’s Little Italy neighbourhood and Bathurst St.

As for what guests can expect, the Dark Horse Espresso Bar comes complete with a high-end coffee bar, pre-made café snacks, and, of course, travel mugs and merch for those who need more than a hot cup to keep them cozy.

The location also has a little outside stoop, so those who want to take a break from some shopping and have a sit in the sun can do so.

In terms of what specialty beverages are on the menu, standard freshly brewed selections like cold brew, espresso, lattes, and more are all available, made to order with Dark Horse’s iconic coffee beans.

Also, while the landscape of coffee shop desires has changed, specialty drinks like ‘Apricot Sunrise Matcha,’ ‘Banana Milk Matcha,’ and ‘Iced Peach Pie Matcha’ are also available, amongst many others.

For those looking for the perfect place to take a break from their retail therapy, the new CF Sherway Gardens Dark Horse Espresso Bar is the perfect spot and is now open.
