It’s almost Canada Day, and popular restaurant franchise Lazeez Shawarma is celebrating by giving back to the community.
In the week leading up to July 1st, Lazeez will continue its yearly tradition of giving away free Canadian flags to all customers as a way of honouring the franchise’s Canadian identity, with 25,000 flags to be handed out across all their locations, no purchase necessary.
Lazeez has also unveiled its newest dessert option – a decadent chocolate fudge brownie – which it will give away for free with any purchase at the restaurant on Canada Day (while quantities last).
Each brownie’s packaging will contain a QR code you can scan to enter a contest and potentially win free Lazeez for a year! You can also enter the contest here.
These special limited-time giveaways aren’t just for Canada Day, but also to celebrate Lazeez Shawarma’s 10th anniversary.
The restaurant has seen massive success over the past decade, quickly growing to over 50 locations in Ontario – and while Lazeez’s menu is centred on delicious Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, the company is proudly Canadian.
In addition to giving away free flags every year, the restaurant continues to partner with the Royal Canadian Legion to support and pay respect to Canadian veterans.
New this year, Lazeez Shawarma has signed a three-year contract to sponsor national basketball organization, Canada Basketball. This partnership encompasses involvement in renowned international events such as the FIBA Basketball World Cup and 2024 Summer Olympics. It’s just another way the restaurant is bolstering community engagement and giving back to the community that has supported them.
The new partnership will also result in a brand new menu item to be launched at select locations during Canada Basketball’s GLOBL Jam Festivalon July 7th, so keep an eye out!
