Popular shawarma restaurant chain finds a home in Halton Hills

Calling itself authentically Middle Eastern and proudly Canadian, Lazeez Shawarma has been growing steadily since its inception in 2013.
Founded in Mississauga, the restaurant chain has now grown to include 40 locations, with the newest in Georgetown.
Located at 136 Guelph St. near Maple Ave., Lazeez offers a variety of favourites, such as shawarma wraps and platters, along with salads and appetizers.
Other crowd pleasers include chicken on the rocks (rice) and chicken on the sticks (fries) that is topped with garlic sauce, tahini and various heat level of spices that make each dish truly unique for every customer.
And it’s not just chicken. Beef dishes include kofta kebab and shawarma, as well as beef on the rocks and sticks.
The various salads available include fattoush, Greek and Caesar, while appetizers such as baba ghanoush, tabbouleh, fava beans and french fries can be ordered.
