Popular sandwich shop opens in Mississauga

If you’re into comfort foods covered in gooey cheese, this shop might be worth checking out.
Meltwich Food Co. has officially opened its location at 50 Lakeshore Rd E, at the corner of Stavebank, in Mississauga.
The restaurant offers grilled cheese sandwiches which can be customized to your preference. A popular choice is “The Godfather” which comes with mozzarella, grilled chicken breast, prosciutto, pesto aioli, tomato, grilled onion and a balsamic glaze.
The burgers, according to the shop’s website, are all halal and made with certified Angus beef and they come with all the classic toppings such as tomatoes, lettuce, onions and pickles sandwiched between a brioche bun.

Poutine is also a staple at this location with many options to choose from including the spicy steak which comes with grilled mushrooms, onion, jalapenos, and is drizzled with a sriracha-chipotle blend.

The restaurant also carries vegan versions of their menu items. A crowd favourite is the “Guac and Roll” which is a sandwich with vegan mozzarella, smashed avocado, tomato and a corn salsa filling.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Saturday (Aug. 26), making it the third location in Mississauga.
If you don’t live in the Mississauga area, the restaurant has several locations throughout the GTA which include Brampton, Milton, Hamilton, and Pickering.
