Cool wine… meet cool location. The annual Niagara Icewine Festival, held every January, will host its “Cool As Ice” event at Niagara Parks’ newest must-see attraction, the Niagara Parks Power Station.

Being held January 14 from 7 pm to 11 pm, the Cool As Ice gala night will be an “immersive celebration showcasing Ontario’s signature flavours through VQA Icewines, cocktails and mocktails, and farm-to-table fare, set within Niagara Falls’ most buzzed-about new attraction, the Niagara Parks Power Station.”

Tickets are $225/person but it’s an all-inclusive event that will feature hyper-local culinary stations showcasing the exquisite delights prepared by Niagara Parks’ culinary team, access to the Niagara Parks Power Station’s full experience, and event parking, as well as, of course, access to some of the best icewine in the world.

Obviously, the pandemic has put the wine festival on pause for the past two years so Dorian Anderson, Niagara Grape & Wine Executive Director, is pleased that it’s coming back in a big way this January.

“After having to press pause on Icewine festivities for a few years, we wanted to come back in a huge way for 2023 with a jaw-dropping new venue. The Niagara Power Station really lends itself to the type of creative expression and exploration that Icewine is all about,” said Anderson.

“Our guests won’t just get to explore Icewine and local foods in unique and unexpected ways, hosting Cool as Ice at the Niagara Power Station will allow our guests to explore and enjoy Niagara Falls in incredible new ways as well.”

As for Niagara Parks Chair April Jeff, she’s happy that the renowned festival is coming to Niagara Falls biggest attraction since it opened July 2021.

“The Niagara Icewine Festival is a signature experience for the destination, and we look forward to the new Cool as Ice event showcasing the incredible Icewines and culinary offerings of Niagara in a new and exciting format, in a truly one-of-a-kind venue,” she said.

Dress code for the event is simply being called “Wine Country Creative ” so guests are encouraged to showcase their signature style, whether that’s gala-style glamour or wine-country chic.
