Popular Montreal restaurant chain is opening in Mississauga

A famous shawarma chain is opening its first Mississauga location very soon!

Boustan the word meaning “orchard” in Arabic is a Lebanese restaurant known for its shawarma wraps, garlic potatoes and lentil butternut squash soup is set to open its newest location at 4040 Creditview Rd, in Mississauga.

Boustan restaurant was first founded in Montreal in the late 80’s and since then has successfully opened over 55 locations.

The food has a combination of flavours from the Middle East and Mediterranean with the freshest ingredients used daily.

For their shawarma wraps you can choose from chicken, beef, falafel, and there even is a vegan option. available.

If you’re not much of a wrap person you can opt in to try a deconstructed version with one of their bowls.

The spicy beef kafta bowl and fattouche salad bowl are some crowd favourites. But if you want a little bit of everything the mixed shawarma bowl is the way to go. It is topped with two proteins (beef and chicken) and comes with rice, potatoes, coleslaw and Boustan’s house sauces.

According to Boustan’s website, they aim to make “you feel as though you are eating homemade Middle Eastern food- accessible, convenient and nutritious.”

As the restaurant was originally based out of Montreal, poutine on the menu is a must. Some items include chicken poutine, beef poutine, or you can get them both mixed together.

Some other menu items you might enjoy is the vegetarian omelette or tabouleh.

There is no official grand opening date posted outside the storefront or mentioned on any of their social media pages, but the exterior of the restaurant looks nearly complete, which means the wait could soon be over!
