An established Mississauga eatery has rebranded to become one of the city’s newest smokehouse restaurants.

Meat & Pie Co. is now officially Smokey Sam’s Barbecue, a smokehouse restaurant in the Hurontario/Eglinton area offering Texas style brisket, beef ribs, mac & cheese, and more.

The restaurant believes the new name reflects the direction they’re taking their smoked menu in.

But for those who loved the restaurant’s selection of pies, not to worry — the popular Mango Pie is still on the menu, as well as the large Brisket & Rib Meat Pie (for takeout only).

The restaurant first opened in early 2021 as a second location to their original downtown Toronto restaurant, and is still known primarily for their Halal BBQ offerings.

Despite the new branding, Smokey Sam’s Barbecue continues to provide catering for events as well as selling wholesale smoked meats directly to other restaurants, describing themselves as “the first wholesale distributor of Texas BBQ brisket in Canada.”
